Currently there are 5 "protected areas" of this site.
(1) The initial registration portion of the "ROSTER" section.
In order to register on the USAFA85 site, you need to have previously contacted the webmaster or the class scribe to get the initial "passcode". You must enter that passcode in order to register. This is to keep site registration restricted to only class of 1985 graduates.
Email Class Scribe
Email Webmaster
Once you have obtained the "passcode" from the webmaster or class scribe, you click the "ROSTER" button, then click the link to "Enter your roster info". Here is where you are prompted to type the "passcode". You enter it and press "SUBMIT".
On the next page, you will be asked to enter your personal information - to include entering a "PASSWORD" of your own choosing. When you are done entering your information, you "Submit" your registration information. You are then given an automatically generated "USERNAME".
You must guard your USERNAME and PASSWORD. In the future, when you enter any of the "private" areas of the site, you will be asked to enter your USERNAME and PASSWORD to gain entry to that area.
(2) The remainder of the "ROSTER" section.
When you click the "ROSTER" button, at the bottom of the page, you are asked to "login". Here is where you enter the web-site provided USERNAME and your PASSWORD that you initially provided. When you enter that information and click "Submit", you are taken to a menu where you can view the roster of everyone else's roster info, search the roster for specific individuals, and edit your own roster information to update it with changes.
(3) The *upload* portion of the "PICTURES" section.
This is where you upload any pictures of your choosing. Only 85ers can upload pictures. However, they can be viewed by the public.
(4) The "BIOS" section.
This is where you enter your BIO information. Only 85ers can enter and view BIOs.
(5) The "MESSAGES" section.
Only 85ers can send "blanket emails" to the entire class.
